PROJECT DEIOS - The final hours have started

Hello everyone!

This is quick update to let you all know that the final countdown for Project DEIOS has begun!

This campaign has been a great success so far and it means that we will now be able to add a full worldbuilding suite to our toolbox! This not only affects the tools in DEIOS, but also all our tools that we are offering through the DUNGEONFOG Battlemap Editor. 

Such as the DESKTOP VERSION for example.

Yes! If you haven't been following our DEIOS campaign: We have unlocked the stretch goal for the Desktop Application for Windows, Mac and Linux! And since DEIOS is an extension to our  DUNGEONFOG Battlemap Editor, you will have access to the desktop version as well - for more info check out our update on DEIOS.

The campaign will close on Sunday midnight, so if you still want to grab some of the KS exclusive asset packs and other DEIOS features - head over to the campaign!

Campaign Manager, Viewer and more

It took us a little longer than we hoped, but as a wise wizard once said: “Haste makes waste”, so we made sure to spend enough precious time on our new Campaign Manager and Viewer features. Thanks to our tireless Testsquad, we can now release our newest developments - enjoy the new game master tools and storytelling possibilities they bring! 

 New Campaign Manager

 We have completely reworked our old session management system and transformed it into the more sophisticated DUNGEONFOG Campaign Manager. You now have the possibility to organize entire campaigns in one neat folder on your dashboard, by importing multiple maps into a campaign folder.

The system automatically generates a campaign copy - that way, you can adapt your maps to the course of action, while your original maps stay untouched, no matter how reckless your players interact with the environment you created.

Game Master and Players Viewer updates

Simultaneously, we developed our viewer features profoundly. As game master, you now have a new toolbar available with all the important features helping you to represent your party’s movements and their progress on your map. With the revamped fog of war feature, you can gradually reveal or hide map areas as your players move along and take different actions. The tool is based on a brush system and can be adjusted in size to symbolize the individual character’s field of vision. At the same time, you are always able to uncover entire rooms with just a single click.

Live editing

Everytime your players decide to interact with structures on your map, you can now immediately show the results of their actions. Do they want to tear down a wall - boom, wall is gone. Did they find a hidden door and smash it in - just a few clicks and your players can congratulate themselves on their wit and strength. Since the DUNGEONFOG system imported only copies of your maps into the campaign manager, you don’t have to worry about what your players’ ideas might lead to - your original work of art is save on your platform and will not be affected by the changes you make on your campaign copies.

Circular context menu

There are also some smaller updates of some editor features that will be released today. Among them is a circular context menu. By right-clicking on any object on your map, you can now open this special menu, offering you the most popular editing possibilities for the object.

New assets, Campaign Manager and more

New Assets!

On May 25th Guy Sclanders from "How to be a GreatGM" started his new Twitch live play presenting the new Dungeons & Dragons setting "Ghosts of Saltmarsh". 

We not only have the great opportunity to be sponsors for this show, but we also did all we can to support him for this endeavour.

To help Guy shine with the most epic maps we created over 200 new assets and countless battlemaps for his game.

Campaign Manager & Viewer - Public Release

We are getting close to releasing the new DUNGEONFOG Campaign Manager and GM Viewer to our live servers! We are going to announce the final release by the end of next week, but we expect to have everything up and running around June 17th. 


PROJECT DEIOS

As you might have heard by now, we are working on an exciting new thing called PROJECT DEIOS. Since we are buzzing with enthusiasm, we want to share some more info about our brave new endeavour with you - enjoy the read and let us know your thoughts and feedback!

For some time, we’ve lured you to our PROJECT DEIOS website. From now on, things will start to move a bit faster: We will reveal a new information slice on a weekly basis! 

Yesterday, we unlocked our vision of how cities can be mapped out effortlessly and intuitively. In this first slice of information, we give insight into how the DUNGEONFOG core mechanics can be adapted to draw harmonic city maps with just a few clicks.

We have also opened the next section of the treasure hunt - so if you like to take part in the hunt, go and try to solve or next riddle - if not, the next section will revealed on June 10th.

A quick remark from my side: 

I know how annoying too many KS updates can be, especially when they are just promoting some other stuff that might or might not be in the focus of your needs. I am sure those of you who have interest in PROJECT DEIOS have already subscribed to our project updates at www.project-deios.com and already get their updates from there.

Although I would love to talk about DEIOS day and night, I will keep myself at bay and will not bombard you with constant Kickstarter updates about every new reveal over the next weeks. I will post a big update here, once everything has been revealed - but until then we will focus our KS updates on topics that are related to the current DUNGEONFOG system.
